SQL Database Administrator (Contract)

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire Country: UK Rate: £350 - £450 per day
 

Day rate: £350-£450 per day (inside)
Location: Northampton, 2 days per week mandatory
Duration: 6 months initial contract

We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator with a profound understanding of SQL, adeptness in crafting intricate queries, and proficient in managing stored procedures. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in the creation and implementation of database schemas, indexing strategies, and normalization techniques to ensure optimal database performance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures to meet the diverse data needs of our organization.
* Design and implement robust database schemas, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and efficiency.
* Proficient in performance tuning and optimization techniques to enhance database responsiveness and throughput.
* Comprehensive understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to facilitate seamless data integration across various systems.
* Collaborate with development teams to optimize database interactions within .NET applications, leveraging SQL proficiency to enhance overall system performance.

Requirements:
* In-depth knowledge of SQL, including proficiency in crafting complex queries and managing stored procedures.
* Extensive experience in designing and implementing database schemas, indexing strategies, and normalization techniques.
* Proven track record in performance tuning and optimization, with the ability to identify and resolve database bottlenecks.
* Familiarity with ETL processes and tools, enabling efficient data movement and transformation.
* Some exposure to .NET development is advantageous, facilitating effective collaboration with development teams.
